Stylish and economical general purpose hotplate stirrers designed with safety as well as performance in mind. The compact shape takes up less bench space and makes storage easier. The hotplate has an innovative LED temperature indicator scale and can also be used in conjunction with the SCT1 digital contact thermometer to accurately control sample temperature. 

The "Hot" warning light will flash whenever the plate temperature is above 50° C even when the hotplate is turned off and unplugged from the mains. Powerful magnets and motor give stirring speeds up to 2,000 rpm and is capable of mixing large volumes (up to 15 L).

Model UC152 has a glass ceramic top which has excellent chemical resistance. The surface is easy to clean and the thermal properties allow very high plate temperatures while ensuring the edges stay cooler, reducing the chance of accidental burns. The white surface ensures good visibility of colour changes. 

The hotplate stirrers have an integral fitting for a retort rod and are supplied with 2 x 25 mm PTFE coated stir bars.

Spinbar® Magnetic Sink Strainer

Spinbar® Magnetic Sink Strainer is an inexpensive solution to prevent your Spinbar® Magnetic Stirring Bars from going down the sink drain.
 

• The flexible, chemical resistant sink strainer has four strong magnets in each corner that attract and hold Spinbar® Magnetic Stirring Bars, while the long slits in the sides and skirt allow fluids to drain easily and rapidly.
• A wide skirt allows the Spinbar® Magnetic Sink Strainer to be used in a variety of sink drains and a flat edge on one side allows it to be placed near the sink wall. Four legs on the underside of the Spinbar® Magnetic Sink Strainer anchor the strainer in the sink drain and prevent it from being dislodged by flowing liquid.
• For better visibility of stirring bars, the Spinbar® Magnetic Sink Strainer is available in blue or green.
