Test Tubes and Racks

MIDSCI has a wide assortment of test tubes, including top-notch centrifuge tubes your research depends on. We carry everything from sterile centrifuge tubes that we promise won’t buckle during spins to specialty centrifuge tubes that are completely blacked out to preserve your light sensitive compounds.
We also have freezer racks and autoclavable racks, stackable storage boxes and freezer boxes, general storage containers and cryogenic storage refrigerators and tanks.
And let’s not forget the labels! Wash-off labels, removable labels, and labels that will never come off (if you need that).

Wire, polypropylene, and NEW polystyrene racks
Select among our three one-well racks--epoxy-coated steel wire racks, interlocking polypropylene racks, or friction-fit polystyrene racks. Move our wire and friction-fit racks to exactly where you need your tube. Friction-fit racks securely hold conical or round bottom tubes with 27.5 to 29mm OD. Link the interlocking plastic racks to form a line of 50mL tubes. Both the wire and interlocking polypropylene racks are autoclavable. Interlocking plastic racks are sold in assorted color packs of one each of blue, green, yellow, pink, and orange.
Polycarbonate Cryo or Freezer Boxes
Polycarbonate boxes will fit all your needs:
- Fit all the most popular cryo and cold storage vials.
- Fit into standard freezer racks.
- Boxes have clear lids with locator grid to facilitate sample identification.
- Withstand temperature extremes of -196°C to 121°C.
- Drain holes for venting and safety.
- Keyed lid prevents misalignment of grid.

Adapt-a-Rack
Capable of holding different size tubes in each available slot as the well literally adapts to your tube size to hold firmly in an upright position. The design enables you to hold 12mm to 30 mm (15 to 50mL tubes) simultaneously and still allow full viewing of the tube label.

24-Place & 48-Place Microtube Storage Racks
- Hold 1.5 mL, 1.7 mL, and 2.0 mL microtubes

Labcon 24-Place and 48-Place micro centrifuge tube and cryo-vial storage system. For 1.5 mL and 2.0 mL tubes. These racks fit into Labcon pipette tip boxes and are made of recycled plastic. Fully autoclavable (122°C) and freezable (-190°C). Stackable racks float in your water bath and can incorporate dry ice for use with frozen samples on the bench.

These chemical-resistant, epoxy-coated steel wire racks have a slotted bottom for secure handling. Ideal for conical centrifuge tubes but can be used to hold other types and sizes of tubes. The 15 mL rack has 20 mm holes; 50 mL rack has 30 mm square holes. Autoclavable.
