Cryogenic Labels

Labeling frozen vials, microtubes, microplates, glass tubes, freezer boxes, plastic bags and other containers can be a challenge when storing in temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius. 

 We offer with a high quality adhesive that can stick to already frozen vials and other objects.  The adhesive on this type of label will adhere to a surface in wet and/or cold conditions.  The adhesive on the label is specifically designed to stick in temperatures below 80 degree Celsius and as low as 196 degrees Celsius. When storing in deep freeze liquid nitrogen or vapor phase liquid nitrogen our Cryo labels will stay in place.  MIDSCIs Cryo labels are resistant to smearing without any additional lamination.  They also won't become brittle or cracked.

Our cryogenic labeles are made of thermoplastic film and coated with a glove-friendly cryogenic adhesive.  This special adhesive alllows the label to remain strong and sticky so that it can be securely attached to stainless steel, aluminium, paint, powder coated metal and iron. 

Providing a high quality of the Cryo label is essential for labortories, researchers, (etc). It will provide fewer errors, better accuracy, more proficiency and all of this leads to better results at a better budget.

Autoclave Tape:
Autoclave tape is used as a process indicator in steam sterilizers. It features an aggressive, pressure-sensitive adhesive designed to adhere to a variety of wraps so that the pack stays secure during sterilization and can be used on direct contact with substrates. Tape also features a chemical indicator to verify that it has gone through the sterilization process. Black diagonal lines appear on the tape after 10 minutes at 121°C or 2 minutes at 134°C in a steam sterilizer.

Lead Free Autoclave Tape:

Sterilization package sealing tape with a process indicator. Designed for gravity sterilizers at 121°C for 30 minutes and pre-vacuum steam sterilizers at 132°C for 3 minutes and 135°C for 3 minutes.

Our label sheets are specially designed to permanently accept laser printing.

Tough-Tags are chemically inert polyester labels that strongly adhere to all plastics and other materials. They are temperature resistant from 121°C to -40°C. These labels will withstand autoclaving, boiling water baths, freezer temperatures, organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling, cracking or falling off. For best adhesion it is recommended that siliconized surfaces be avoided.

Tough-Tags are pre-cut, peel-off labels which accept any marking instrument and are perfectly sized to fit microcentrifuge tubes and other containers in the laboratory. Tubes with Tough-Tags wrapped around them will still slide easily in and out of rotors without binding because the labels are thin and the adhesive does not migrate from behind the label even after boiling and autoclaving.

Our patented Cryogenic labels (Cryo-Babies are the small sizes and Cryo-Tags are the larger), are flexible polyolefin labels that withstand conventional and cryogenic storage conditions (vapor and liquid phase nitrogen storage at -196°C). The labels are chemically inert with a solvent resistant acrylic adhesive that will adhere to all plastics, glass and metal. Cryo-Babies and Cryo-Tags will withstand boiling water baths at 100°C and dry heat up to 150°C without cracking, peeling or degrading.

Cryo-Babies and Cryo-Tags resist most detergents and oils, as well as many organic solvents, caustic agents and other challenges without peeling. They will resist water soaking for at least 24 hours at room temperature and water vapor (100% relative humidity) at 35°C for at least 24 hours.
