From 4 °C to -20 °C, the Chill Bucket delivers up to 4 hours of constant cooling on once ice pack or with a handful of dry pellets. Every ChillBucket Kit includes a durable polyeurethane laboratory bucket and lid, two gel packs and a mesh sack filled with metallic thermal beads. Each component of the kits was developed with the researcher in mind.
Bucket - The Chill Bucket's bell-like shape and molded side knobs help you carry it stably in one arm. If the knobs were too big, they would get in the way; too shallow, they would not hold the bead bag in place. So the current design is optimized for carrying and stability on the bench.
Bead Bag - The Bead Bag's nylon mesh allows any condensation on the beads to escape and the nylon fiber also resists mold and mildew. If the beads need to be washed, the mesh bag works like a wash bag-the mesh hold are small enough to keep the beads, which makes washing them a breeze.
Chill Packs- The Chill Packs are standard ice packs which hold temperature for a long time and are tough enough to be used over and over again without breaking or tearing like vinyl shipping freeze packs can. In addition, they can be cleaned with alcohol or bleach to keep the Chill Bucket System free of mold and other microbes.
Dry, metallic beads that replace water in water baths, aluminum blocks in dry baths, or ice in ice buckets. Lab Armor® Beads are convenient, versatile, and can maintain hot or cold sample temperatures in just about any vessel type.

AccuPlate Digital Hot Plates & Stirrers
AccuPlate digital hot plates and stirrers are powerful, versatile, and easy to use. Every unit is built for consistent performance and long-term reliability. Each AccuPlate has a Pyroceram® ceramic top plate that is extremely durable, resistant to chemical attack, and easy to clean.
The ceramic hotplates can reach temperatures up to 550° C and the white color of the plate makes it easy to view color changes in applications such as titrations. There is a powerful heating element positioned directly beneath the ceramic top plate providing optimal heat transfer to the plate and sample while minimizing heat transfer to the electronics and housing.
The stirrer and hotplate stirrer utilize a powerful motor driven system along with powerful magnets to ensure a consistent connection to the stir bar. The control software minimizes stir bar decoupling by regulating the acceleration rate of the motor.
- Precise liquid temperatures and stirring speeds
- Digital display and red "Hot Top" safety indicators
- Durable cast aluminum housing, angled front panel, and large control knobs
LC-8 series of laboratory centrifuges is uniquely designed to meet a wide range of applications in both the clinical and research laboratory. An eight position rotor is included and designed to directly accept 10ml and 15ml test-tubes (conical or round bottom), while optional adapters are also available for use with all popular sizes of blood collection and culture tubes. Unlike most compact centrifuges in this class, the rotor can be easily removed from the chamber for cleaning.
The back-lit, liquid crystal display provides full control over the set run time and rotational speed. The rotational speed can be set/viewed in rpm or rcf and acceleration/deceleration levels can be easily adjusted in the advanced settings mode.
To ensure safety, the digital microprocessor ensures that the lid has been closed and that the safety lid lock is engaged prior to starting a centrifugation cycle. In addition, an advanced imbalance detection system constantly monitors the balance and vibration, automatically bringing the rotor to a stop if an imbalance is detected.

SHEL LAB Reciprocating Water Baths deliver precise temperature control and a smooth reciprocal shaking motion. Temperature and oscillation controls feature an easy to read P.I.D. microprocessor temperature controller and an independent safety thermostat.
The bath may be used with or without oscillation. Shaking speed is variable from 20 to 200 oscillations per minute, and the stroke length can be adjusted to three separate settings: 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 inches to minimize the chance of accidental spillage. Also, the unique basket support system is designed to eliminate tank wear, yet still provide full support and free action for a heavily loaded basket.
A durable finish on the housing prevents corrosion and chipping. In addition to a stainless steel tank, the bath platform tray is designed for optimum temperature uniformity. Maximum temperature is achieved using the stainless steel gable cover, which is designed to prevent condensate from dripping onto samples and assures uniform temperature conditions. These units feature:
- Microprocessor Control
- Independent Oscillation and Temperature Controls
- Recessed Heating Element to Prevent Burnout
- Adjustable Stroke Length
- Great for heat inactivating FBS
- 2 year limited warranty, excludes tank
