AWAY FROM ELECTIRCAL LINES? The model 780CL Cordless Tissue-Tearor includes a cordless, high speed motor, one probe of your choice, one rechargable 9.6 volt battery pack and a plug-in charger. The maximum speed of the 780CL is slightly slower than the line-operated TissueTearor (25,000 vs 35,000 rpm), it is quite adequate for homogenizing soft tissue like muscle, liver, brain, etc. The price for the 780CL Tissue-Tearor is the same as the 985370 series.

The Tissue-Tearor⢠is a rotor/stator type tissue homogenizer which can rapidly homogenize, disperse, and emulsify samples in 0.2 - 1000 ml of liquid. During operation, the suspended material is drawn into the core of the homogenizer by a rotor turning at up to 25,000 rpm. The material is repeatedly cycled through six narrow slits in the stator where it is rapidly sheared and disintegrated by high frequency mechanical action. Complete homogenization of tissues (muscle, liver, breast tissue, etc.) is usually achieved in ten to thirty seconds. Little, if any, heat is produced during the process.
Unlike most other Brands of rotor/stator type homogenizers, the Tissue-Tearor comes complete - that is, with both a motor and a probe (aka, generator, dispersing tool) - both included in one price.
