PR1MA™ LB Broth, Granulated [Lennox LB Broth]

Common Name: Lennox L Broth
Solubility: Water
Storage Temperature: Room Temperature


For propagation and maintenance of E. Coli. Low Salt Formula. Molecular Biology Grade.


Dissolve 20 grams in 1 liter distilled water. Then adjust the pH to 7.2. Heat and frequently agitate to completely dissolve. Material is specially granulated to reduce dust and increase solubility rate. Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.


Ingredients:

  • Tryptone:10 g/L
  • Sodium Chloride: 5 g/L
  • Yeast Extract: 5 g/L



Research or further manufacturing use only, not for food or drug use.


  • Appearance: Light beige color, average particle size between 1 to 2mm
  • DCM Appearance: Homogeneous, free flowing light beige
  • PPM Appearance: Clear, no to light ppt, light yellow
  • Appearance of Solution: Prepared medium is yellow to gold and clear to moderately hazy
  • pH (2.0% Solution @ 25 oC): 6.8 - 7.2
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 23724): Good to Excellent
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 33694): Good to Excellent
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 33849): Fair to Excellent
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 39403): Good to Excellent
  • Microorganism (E. coli ATCC 47014): Good to Excellent
