The IBI "Lab-Pal" has been designed with the teaching lab in mind. The IB50000 utilizes  two glass slides, measuring 2" x 3", for casting the agarose. The small glass slide 
format is ideal for minimizing agarose use while still being an excellent teaching tool for students just learning about the separation of DNA molecules. 

Agarose slides can be cast days in advance and stored in buffer for later use. This helps maximize  class time
