In Memory of Larry Degenhart

Larry Roy Degenhart, was born in St. Louis March 23, 1942 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family July 2, 2023. Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Degenhart (nee Laughlin), his daughter Robyn (Mark) Schmit and son Michael Degenhart.  

Larry was an avid golfer who cherished his time on the courses at Olde Hickory in Ft. Myers and the Legends in Eureka.  

Larry and Peggy founded MIDSCI in 1983 and the company has become a major supplier to the bio tech community. 

Larry is survived by his wife and children as well as cousins and in-laws, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as multitudes of friends and employees.

Larry has selflessly donated his body to Washington University for medical education and biomedical research.  A celebration of Larry's life will be held July 15, 2023 at Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 415 Weidman Road, Manchester. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation in Larry's name to Gateway Hemophilia Association or American Heart Association.
